虽然现在通讯发达,随时都能联系到他人,可是偶尔还是会遇到找不到人要委托别人传话的情况。但又应该怎样请求别人帮忙捎信呢?

常考口语⇁

Will you please give this message to…? 请把这个口信捎给……好吗?

My mother asked me to give you this note. 我妈妈让我把这张便条给你。

Thanks for the message. 谢谢你带来的信儿。

1. 请别人捎信的句型:

Will you please give this note to…? 请把这个便条带给……,好吗?

2. 给别人捎信的句型:

Li Ming asked me to give you this letter. 李明要我给你捎封信。

背景知识⇁

“Would you mind giving/sending him a message/a message to him?”是要求别人捎信时比较客气的说法,动词“mind”常用于疑问句、否定句及回答问话的肯定句中,表示“介意,反对”。

人是血肉之躯,难免会生病,生病了可不能讳疾忌医哟!那么你知道该如何与医生对话吗?

常考口语⇁

There’s something wrong with my… 我……有点毛病/不舒服。

I’ve got a cough. 我咳嗽。

I feel terrible/bad. 我觉得很难受/不好受。

I don’t feel well. 我感觉身体不舒服。

I’ve got a pain here. 我这里痛。

This place hurts. 这个地方疼。

Take this medicine three times a day. 这药每天服三次。

It’s nothing serious. 没什么大毛病。

You’ll be all right. 你会没事的。

I feel terrible. 我很不舒服。

There’s something wrong with my arms. 我的手臂有点儿毛病。

2. 医生询问病情:

What’s wrong with you? 怎么了?

What’s the matter? 有什么问题?

Does it hurt? 痛不痛?

Did you have any pain here before? 以前你这儿痛过吗?When did the pain start? 什么时候开始痛的?

3. 医生嘱咐:

You’ll get over it soon. 你不久就会康复的。

Don’t worry about it. 别着急。

Take it easy. 放轻松。

Take this medicine twice/three times a day. 这药每天服用两/三次。

背景知识⇁

病人在诉说具体病情时,可说“I have a headache (stomachache, toothache, earache, sore back, sore throat, sore leg, sore eye).(我头疼(胃疼、牙疼、耳朵疼、背疼、喉咙疼、腿疼、眼睛疼)。)”。

1Excuse me. 对不起;打扰一下。

— Excuse me. Could you tell me how to get to the post offce?

对不起。您能否告诉我去邮局怎么走?

— Of course. Turn right at the next intersection[十字路口]and go straight. The post offce will be on your left. 当然可以。在下个十字路口右转后直走。邮局就在你的左边。

分析▲“Excuse me.”通常有引起对方注意的含义,最常使用的场合为请人让路或问路的时候。它与“I’m sorry.”虽同表“对不起。”,但在用法上仍有所差异。“Excuse me.”并不代表自己确实犯错,而使用“I’m sorry.”时一般是自己确实犯了错。相似的口语表达还有:1) Pardon me. 2) Sorry to interrupt you. 3) I hate to bother you.

2You look great! 你看起来好棒!

— You look great! How do you stay in such good shape?

你看起来好棒!你是怎样保持这么好的身材的?

— Well, I go jogging every morning, eat a healthful diet and work out in a gymnasium twice a week. 噢,我每天早晨会慢跑,饮食健康,而且一周上两次健身房。

— Wow, it sounds like a lot of work. I guess I’m too lazy to do all that.

喔,听起来好像挺累人的。我想我太懒了,办不到的。

分析▲当看到某人精神抖擞或气色颇佳时,可用此句表达赞赏,听者必定十分喜悦。也可以说:1) You look wonderful!2) You look fantastic!

3I must be going. 我得走了。

— I’ve really enjoyed your party, Lisa. 这次宴会我玩得好高兴噢,丽萨。

— Not at all, Sam. 别客气,山姆。

— I wish I could stay longer, but I must be going. 我真希望能再待久一点儿,但我得离开了。

分析▲我们在朋友家作客,或者是正与人畅谈时,如若突然想起亟待处理的事情,则可说这句话。当然,说的时候要注意语气,不要冒犯到对方。常用的口语表达还有:

1) I’ve got to go now. 2) I’d better get going now.

4Help yourself. 请自便;别客气。

— Where did you get these peanuts, Mike? 这些花生在哪儿买的,麦克?

— At the supermarket down the street. Help yourself. 在街尾的超市。想吃随便拿哦。

— Thanks! 谢谢!

分析▲一般邀请客人来家里吃饭时,主人最常使用此句,让客人不会感到拘谨。我们还可以说:1) Have some. 2) Try some.
